UK: Scheduled to take place 19-20th November 2020 in London’s Business Design Centre, the theme for HIX is ‘All Together Now’ with each edition designed to capture the spirit of the times.
HIX’s co-founders have a combined 40 years of event experience within interiors and hotel design.
Joel Butler, co-founder of HIX, said: “When we decided to create the event, it was always about the power of community and shared, joyful experience. Now we’re in the midst of a global pandemic and we couldn’t be surer about our decision. HIX this November is for the community to rethink, rebuild, recover and prosper.”
The 2020 lineup already involves over 100 supplies, with each creating a narrative around their installations.
The HIX seminar is called The Unlearning, and looks to social scientists as speakers to explore subjects such as group behavioural patterns, distance versus intimacy, and the economics of travel in a post-COVID-19 world. Experts will then discuss these topics within the context of hotels.
In the Gallery Hall area, HIX will focus on a different design discipline each year. The topic for 2020 is workplace and its relationship with hotel design.
Registration to attend the HIX event is available here.
Recruitment is also underway for the HIX Influencer Programme – a schedule for a limited selection of the community’s most influential individuals.
