Worldwide: Subscription-based OTA Bidroom has launched an extranet app for hotel members to access all guest data and manage multiple properties and room rates.
uilt by Bidroom’s in-house team, the new web application is a content management platform that enables users to update hotel information, images and offers.
The app allows hotel members to access all guest data via the extranet, meaning they can contact customers directly without using an intermediary. It also allows members to manage availability at any time across properties, adjust pricing and promote additional services.
Bidroom’s CEO, Michael Ros, said: “Connectivity is a key part of our business, and as one of the industry’s leaders, we firmly believe that it will also play a vital role in the future of the sector. Having more than half of our workforce dedicated to designing new technological solutions for hoteliers, we pride ourselves on having a real impact on the industry, especially in these challenging times.”
Further updates including detailed income information, solutions for invalid credit card payments, and a live support feature are set to be announced in the coming months.
Bidroom is open to PMS integration and earlier this year, developed a distribution API to allow hotels to connect immediately at no extra cost.
Hotels do not pay commission to be listed on the platform, with the saving being shared between the property and the traveller. Travellers can experience Bidroom for free or can upgrade to the premium members at £49 per year to unlock hotel deals.
Bidroom’s portfolio includes more than 160,000 properties worldwide, including 80 hotel brands such as IHG and Wyndham. It serves 260,000 member travellers.
