Worldwide: Gymbox, which operates 11 gyms across London, has signed a deal with citizenM to bring its digital platform of pre-recorded classes to guests within the hotels.
Utilising its Out The Box virtual platform, which launched in 2020 amid the pandemic lockdowns, Gymbox can deliver in-room exercise classes across five categories: strength, sweat, light, holistic and rhythm.
Guests will be able to access the services free via their in-room TVs, across citizenM’s 21 hotels located in 14 cities.
Robin Chadha, chief marketing officer of citizenM, said: “citizenM hotels are designed to give travellers a great base in the most exciting cities in the world, focusing on everything they need, and nothing they don’t. Through our collaboration with Gymbox, we’re able to offer our guests the choice to be active in the privacy of their room.
“Thanks to our advanced technology and owner-operator structure, we are able to implement new features in one go across the entire portfolio – bringing valuable content like Gymbox’s bespoke in-room workouts directly to our guests, no matter which of our hotels they’re staying at,” he continued.
Marc Diaper, Gymbox CEO, added: “The demand for fitness on-the-go is ever increasing and this deal means that citizenM guests can get that workout in before going off to explore some of the world’s most exciting cities.”
Other independent properties are also introducing virtual training programmes, such as member’s club The Lensbury in south west London.
