EMEA: Cover Genius, a global insurtech company, has appointed Peter Smith to oversee new and existing partnerships across the UK, Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Smith has over 20 years of experience in the travel industry, having worked closely with the founders of TravelSupermarket.com and Moneysupermarket.com to build two leading price comparison websites.
Prior to joining Cover Genius, Smith was the head of new business at Holiday Extras, where he helped to develop partnerships to enhance the company’s customer experience, ultimately driving incremental revenue.

The appointment follows a recent Series B funding round, which raised USD $10 million to support the company’s investment in talent and worldwide growth.
Cover Genius has offices in London, New York, Sydney and Tokyo. Its award-winning technology, XClaim, delivers a Net Promoter Score (NPS) of over 65, which has been recognised as the highest result for a global insurance company.
Cover Genius also co-creates insurance products with partners, and has products in more than 60 countries and 50 US states.
