South Africa: Sanctuary Spa has launched the 760 square foot Sanctuary Spa at the Banksia Boutique Hotel in Cape Town to its portfolio.
Located at the foot of Table Mountain, the hotel’s spa features three large treatment rooms and a Rasul chamber/steamroom. Designed by Sanctuary Spa CEO Alison Rightford and hotel owner Shelley Kingston, the spa uses products from Moya, Essie and Phytomer, and will soon add Elemis to the mix.
Other facilities include an indoor 12-metre swimming pool and a hydro-pool within a glass atrium, along with a reception and waiting areas and relaxation spaces. Sanctuary Spa rents the premises from the hotel, and is its second premises in Cape Town.
A spokesperson for Sanctuary Spa told Spa Opportunties: “Since our inception, we have pioneered new approaches to spa conceptualisation and have contributed to designing spas that take advantage of the magnificent wealth of this country. Each initiative is designed to context, with every aspect carefully considered, including signature treatments to suit the establishment and its guests.”
