UK: Belmond hotel The Cadogan has announced its partnership with sleep expert Malminder Gill in an effort to blend hospitality and mental wellness.
The Cadogan, a Belmond Hotel, is planning to launch its collaboration with a complimentary Sleep Concierge service once the hotel reopens after lockdown.
The service will be available in each bedroom and will include a sleep-inducing meditative recording via the hotel’s app, a sleep menu of different pillows and a bedtime tea service, plus scented pillow mist. An optional weighted blanket is available too. The next morning, guests can experience a motivation recording created by Malminder Gill, an expert with over 15 years’ experience in sleep and managing anxious thoughts.
Gill said: “Sleep is the most important thing we can learn to master, and when staying in one of The Cadogan’s sumptuous suites, guests can listen to my exclusive recording and drift off.”
At The Cadogan, guests will also be able to book an in-person, one-on-one appointment with Gill. This has a starting price of £500 (US$683, €568) and requires advance booking. Additionally, guests looking for a more in-depth wellbeing focus will have the option to visit the hotel’s exclusive spa suite for massages, facials and beauty treatments, supplied by luxury British product house Bamford.
A recent study by the Global Wellness Institute (GWI), called Defining the Mental Wellness Economy, named senses, spaces and sleep as contributing US$49.6 billion (€41.7bn, £37.6bn) to the mental wellness segment (US$121bn, €101.6bn, £91.8bn) of the global wellness economy.
