UK: The Sirius Hotel Group has appointed John Adams as chair, following his decade-long career with the company.
Adams joined The Sirius Hotel Group as a non-executive director in 2016, bringing with him 45 years of experience in a variety of financial roles. For the past ten years, he has been working to support the group’s growth through corporate governance and financial reporting processes.
“We are privileged to be able to draw on John’s expertise as we grow as a platform with The Resident and Four Points Flex by Sheraton brands, building on our reputation-led track record for developing, repositioning and operating hotels,” The Sirius Hotel Group’s CEO David Orr said. “John has been a most trusted advisor for the past decade and we look forward to working with him in his new position.”
Adams holds a bachelor of arts degree in economics from the University of Exeter. He was a FCA chartered accountant and ICAEW qualified. In addition to his current role at The Sirius Hotel Group, he is a non-executive director of Millard Estates Limited and Grove End Housing Limited.
He succeeds Jane Bentall, who will remain as a strategic advisor for the company as it looks to expand.
“Jane is one of the most significant leaders in our sector and has been central to the vision and growth of the business during her tenure,” Adams said. “I look forward to her continuing to support us as I take on the role of chair, working with the board and the executive team to build on the strong momentum of the business.”
