UAE: The Boutique 7 Hotel & Suites in Dubai is undergoing an AED 20 million (US$5.44 million) refurbishment.

The property, formerly known as the Mazoon Apartments, is located in the Tecom district, and will be transformed from a budget, long-stay property into a fashionable, boutique hotel.

The refurbishment will include the introduction of balcony hot tubs, a new nightclub, a spa and a nail salon.

General manager Paul Evans, said: “We are taking the kitchens out and making an office space. Some of the rooms will have an adult play area, in the best sense of the word. We are going to have an Xbox, a game chair, a game area for kids or adults, a huge screen. So we will have 10 rooms that do that.”

“We will have another 10 rooms that will have hot tubs outside on the balconies. That’s thrown me a lot of issues, which I was surprised at, because of the laws,” Evans told HotelierMiddleEast.com

The renovation is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
