Wales: A former alehouse for the workers on Newport’s Alexandra Docks has gone on the market as a boutique hotel and restaurant.
The Waterloo Hotel & Bistro has been managed by Bob Evans for the past 14 years. More than £1 million was invested into restoring the site.
Set in a Grade-II listed building, the property has been placed on the market with Christie + Co at an asking price of £795,000 following Evan’s retirement.
“We have had several enquiries already, and with the current activity in the market I do not think that this opportunity will be available for long,” remarked senior business agent, Corrina Jones.
“This is a great opportunity for either a first-time buyer or an experience operator to acquire this beautiful period public house,” Jones added.
