25hours Hotels to open second property in Copenhagen this July

25hours Copenhagen

Denmark: Lifestyle hotel brand 25hours is set to open its second hotel in Copenhagen on 27 July 2024.

The new-build 25hours Hotel Paper Island offers 128 rooms, an Asian restaurant, a day bar and rooftop bar, and a ground floor function room for groups up to 150.

It is located on an island in Copenhagen harbour which was once used as a paper warehouse. Local architects COBE planned the ensemble of buildings, whilst Swedish interior designers from Stylt Trampoli in Gothenburg worked on the hotel.

Grit Rister, general manager of 25hours Hotel Paper Island, said: “With its location directly in the harbour, the hotel perfectly embodies the unique character of Copenhagen. Our guests can enjoy that special hygge feeling, far from the madding crowd of the city centre, but with direct access via a bridge for pedestrians and cyclists. The Royal Opera sits perched on a neighbouring island. You can rest assured that both of our properties are keen to welcome neighbours and locals, offering lots of pop-up stores, live music and events, in addition to the restaurant, café and bar.”

Rister will oversee both hotels in Copenhagen, having served as general manager of 25hours Hotel Indre By since April 2023. She will be supported by Claus Basan, hotel manager of 25hours Hotel Paper Island, and David Schad, hotel manager of 25hours Hotel Indre By.
