UK: A treehouse, six shepherd huts, a Victorian-style glasshouse and a two-bedroom cottage is set to launch next year at Another Place, The Lake in Ullswater, the Lake District.

The new additions, which fall under the property’s “Outside” collection, are to launch in Easter 2022.

The Treehouse, forming the largest accommodation, will feature two double bedrooms and a bathroom, plus an outdoor deck with a freestanding bath and log burner. Harrison Pitt Architects will design the treehouse, which will include floor-to-ceiling windows providing views of the lake.

Blackdown Shepherd Hut company will handcraft the six shepherd huts. Each unit will feature a stargazing roof over a double bed, along with a copper bath, lounge area, log burner and pantry. Three of the huts will include bunkrooms for families.

The Glasshouse, created by Hartley Botanic, will sit next to the kitchen garden. It will be used for breakfast, coffee, lunch and dinner, or to host yoga sessions and creative workshops.

A lakeside cabin, Willow cottage, will offer a double room, twin room and lounge with sofa bed along with a wood burning fire. Designed by Lynsey Ford it will be situated next to the main hotel with full access.

A rebuilt ‘Sheep Shed’ will also be used year-round for changing, showers and wetsuit drying.

Will Ashworth, CEO at Another Place, The Lake said: “The treehouse will be one of a kind, and the biggest accommodation on offer in any of our locations. But the whole set – the treehouse, shepherd huts, Glasshouse and Sheep Shed – will bring a new energy and buzz. We’re blending great hospitality and novel experiences with a sublime natural environment.”
