AppleOne Properties to launch hotel project

Philippines: Family-run, Cebu-based property developer, AppleOne Properties Inc (API), plan to construct 10 boutique hotels in the next three years.

The hotels will comprise 70 to 100 bedrooms per development, and API will begin construction in Cebu followed by nine emerging cities.

Other locations will include Butuan, Dipolog, Cagayan de Oro, Illigan, Ormoc, and Palawan.

“The prime market of these locations are millennials who seek the extraordinary in every destination they visit. We will be sure to put a touch of the Filipino culture in our future properties. The goal is to offer a luxurious, distinct yet affordable hotel,” said Samantha Manigsaca, daughter of API’s president, Ray.

The hotels will be constructed and managed by the companies under the AppleOne Group, with a brand yet to be confirmed.

Ray Manigsaca said: “We are already established in the hotel business. We have Apple Tree Suites and Diamond Suites & Residences in Cebu, and Apple Tree Resort & Hotel in Cagayan de Oro. We have also launched partnerships with Marriott International to develop Sheraton Sebu Mactan Resort, The Residences at Sheraton Cebu Mactan Resort, and Fairfield Inn.”

Manigsaca added that the company will be banking on these varied experiences across different market segments and price points to deliver high quality service at reasonable price ranges.

Alongside the project, the AppleOne Group is also looking at developing a five-star resort property in Panglao Island, Bohol.
