US: The $300 million mixed-use Bottleworks District development in Indianapolis will open this winter, and includes a hotel, food hall, cinema, retail and office space.
Occupying the top two floors, the Bottleworks Hotel will feature 139-rooms, a restaurant and lounge, meeting space and a fitness centre.
Housed in the world’s former largest Coca-Cola bottling factory, the building’s “Filler Machine Room” (a rolling conveyor belt leading to the bottling room) has now been replaced by the hotel’s front desk area.
Jeff Whiteman, chief operating officer at Geronimo Hospitality Group, which will own and operate both the hotel and food hall at Bottleworks, commented: “Bottleworks Phase One development continues to make great progress, including construction on the former Coca-Cola building, which will bring an incredible new boutique hotel to the heart of downtown Indy. We’re moving forward full-steam ahead on this exciting project and look forward to debuting the hotel along with The Garage Food Hall later this year.”
The Garage Food Hall will have more than 20 independently owned local and regional vendors within a 38,000 square foot communal space. It will open on January 5, 2021.
Phase One of the development will include venture studio High Alpha’s new headquarters, Living Room Theaters, and an eight-auditorium cinema with a bar and lounge.
