Germany: Urban lifestyle brand CityHub will be opening a capsule hotel at Leipziger Platz, in the centre of Berlin, in Q4 2027.
The project, in partnership with Columbia Threadneedle Investments, will see the conversion of approximately 2,100 square metres of existing retail space within a mixed-use commercial building.
It will include 139 Hubs, including 122 standard Hubs and 17 accessible Hubs. Other facilities include a sauna, shared bathrooms and social spaces.
Located at the crossroad along the former border between East and West Berlin, the hotel will place guests with restaurants, cafes, cultural attractions and shopping destinations.
“This project demonstrates how CityHub can unlock the potential of existing urban buildings in Europe’s busiest cities through our prefabricated Hub concept,” CityHub’s CEO Remco Gerritsen said. “It allows us to become part of established neighbourhoods while creating a more sustainable model for future city hotels.”
