De Vere Beaumont unveils £12m makeover

UK: De Vere Beaumont Estate has unveiled the results of an extensive refurbishment

De Vere Beaumont Estate in Old Windsor, part of the De Vere portfolio, has unveiled the results of a £12m refurbishment.

Seven meeting rooms in the property’s Wessex Old School House have been converted into 15 bedrooms. A restoration has also been carried out in the 19th century chapel in the hopes of attracting more events, weddings and business bookings.

The new design concept is a classic British aesthetic, with tan leather furniture, tweeds and a heritage colour palette throughout the building.  The new 1705 Restaurant & Bar and renovated Beaumont Restaurant have been updated to fit the new aesthetic.

The 44-acre grounds have also been updated by Principal Hotel Company’s head of estates management, Justin Turner.

Darren McGhee, venue director at De Vere Beaumont Estate, said: ‘We’re delighted with the results of the refurbishment; we firmly believe that we have created a property that caters perfectly for our guests, whatever their reason for visiting. The makeover has breathed new life into what is a landmark country estate. Whether it’s a large scale corporate event; a romantic getaway for two; a show-stopping wedding or an evening celebration, the hotel and our expert team will deliver an exemplary experience that is tailored to each guest’s unique requirements.”

De Vere is a collection of country estate hotels under The Principal Hotel Company. The portfolio includes iconic properties such as De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms and De Vere Holborn Bars in London.
