Portugal: The Bairro Alto Hotel in Lisbon has undergone a two-month €600,000 renovation.
All its 55 guest rooms and public spaces have been refurbished, and its restaurant has been renamed under the charge of Chef Vasco Lello.
Marta Tavares da Silva, administrator of the Bairro Alto Hotel, said: “This investment in upgrading the hotel underlines our commitment to continue to be a benchmark in hospitality to our customers, providing them with excellent service and offer even more distinctive lodgings. With our combined experience, we intend to offer more, while maintaining the status of Best Boutique Hotel in Europe.”
During the renovation, employees received extensive training and expertise in several areas. Opened in 2005,in an 18th century building which was once the home of the Grand Hotel de L’Europe, Bairro Alto Hotel was the first boutique 5-star hotel in Portugal.
