China: Accor and Jinjiang International Group will reposition the Fairmont Peace Hotel in Shanghai under luxury hotel brand Raffles, with the transformed property set to debut in 2027.
The Peace Hotel, originally created in 1929 by Sir Victor Sassoon and named the Cathay Hotel, has been owned by Jinjiang Group since 1984.
It became a part of Fairmont Hotels & Resorts in 2010 and will remain open during the transformation to Raffles Peace Hotel Shanghai.
