Greece: Radisson Blu Zaffron Resort on the island of Santorini is the first luxury hospitality offering from Athens-based Fais Group, set to open 18 April this year.
The 103-room resort, claimed to be the first lifestyle destination resort on the island, has been designed by architects Arc-Set with interiors by Designteam – Nikos Theodorakopulos.
Accommodation is spread amongst rooms, suites and villas and range from superior size to the presidential suite, complete with private plunge pool. In-room amenities include Nespresso coffee machines, Korres toiletries, as well as keyless entry.
Facilities include two heated pools, a pool bar hosting performances from guest DJs, a spa, the Zeffirino restaurant serving Italian fine dining, Trattoria Belloni with a menu of classic Italian dishes, and the Blu Pool Bar serving sushi and cocktails.
As part of the entertainment and programming at the resort, dinner parties will be held in partnership with Elite Model Management London, and Magnum Photos will hold immersive workshops with its photographers.
Manolis Papadakis, general manager and director of hospitality division at Radisson Blu Saffron Resort, said: “With Zaffron, our goal is to showcase our sui generis approach to hospitality in a way that’s respectful to the island’s heritage. At the same time, we want to introduce a new concept where our guests’ experience is enriched and elevated through international brand partnerships and a variety of exclusive events.”
Fais Group is an Athens-based distributor of luxury, fashion and sports brands include Salvatore Ferragamo, KIKO Milano, Princess Yachts, Under Armour, Adidas, Technogym, and more.
The group’s hospitality and gastronomy division is newly created, and in addition to Radisson Blu Zaffron Resort, includes the Modiano Market in Thessaloniki, the Castello Bibelli in Corfu, and Bufala Gelato.
