US: Aman New York is due to open its doors in spring 2021 and will debut the first urban Aman Residences worldwide.
Housed in Manhattan’s Crown Building, the property has been designed by Jean-Michel Gathy of Denniston. It is located at the crossroads of 57th and 5th Street.
It will feature 83 guest rooms and suites, along with 22 private branded residences. Half of these have already pre-sold during construction.
Ranging from one to six bedrooms, the residences will feature outdoor terraces (some with heated pools), and will offer a five-storey penthouse. In each of the guest rooms there will be a working fireplace.
The residences are located above the hotel, on floors 15 through 30. The hotel occupies floors seven through 12, along with the Aman Spa that spans three floors.
Amenities at the hotel include a cigar lounge, a piano bar, as well as an Aman Club for members. The Aman Jazz Club, a French Wine Library, the Italian restaurant Arva, and Japanese dining venue Nama can be found in the hotel’s subterranean level.
Owners of the residences will have a private entrance to the spa, along with access to a 24/7 lifestyle management and concierge service and a lifetime membership to the Aman Club.
