Georgetown hotel to reopen in April after renovation and expansion

US: The Hotel Monticello in Georgetown, Washington DC, is scheduled to reopen in April as The Graham Georgetown.

The property, at 1075 Thomas Jefferson St. NW, was acquired by Florida-based Mast Capital in 2011, and has undergone a multimillion-dollar renovation that increased the number of rooms from 38 to 57, including 30 suites. The average room size is now 450 square feet, and the remodeling has also added a fitness centre and two restaurants, including a rooftop lounge.

The rooftop Observatory will serve dinner and weekend brunch. The lower-level restaurant, The Alex, will offer breakfast and dinner. Both are open to the public.

The Capella Washington, at nearby 1050 31st St. NW, is also scheduled to open in April.
