UK: Graduate Hotels, a collection of hotels anchored in university towns and cities across the US, will debut its first European properties in Cambridge and Oxford in spring 2021.
The design of the two hotels is inspired by the heritage of the towns and university colleges.
In Cambridge, the 148-key hotel will be positioned along the banks of the River Cam. It was previously the Doubletree by Hilton Cambridge City Centre.
The property will undergo a complete interior renovation, which includes all rooms, common spaces, fitness club and pool.
A ground floor conversion will see the addition of Poindexter, Graduate Hotels’ signature café. And bar concept, as well as the renovation of the full-service restaurant.
In Oxford, the 151-key hotel is located in the city’s cultural epicentre close to St. Giles Street.
Interior design details include textural elements inspired by the region’s natural resources and locally inspired art which will tell the narratives of Oxford’s past.
Previously the Macdonald Randolph Hotel, the property will too undergo a full renovation throughout all of the guest rooms, the lobby and common spaces, as well as the exterior.
