US: Hutton Brickyards has unveiled Edgewood, a restored historic mansion with 12 guest rooms and suites, managed by Salt Hotels.
Salt Hotels launched the leisure retreat Hutton Brickyards in 2021. The second phase of its opening includes the addition of Edgewood, an 1870s mansion which has been redeveloped and restored by MWest Holdings, Kristina Dousharm Architecture, and Kevin O’Shea of Salt Hotels.
In addition to the guest rooms, Edgewood will house the site’s reception area along with several social areas including The Drawing Room and The Parlor. A restaurant and bar will open in the autumn.
Karl Slovin of MWest Holdings said: “After almost 10 year of slowly and carefully preserving and building the Hutton Brickyards, and a year renovating Edgewood, it is my great pleasure to be able to share this amazing Second Empire mansion with the public. Bringing together all of the original Hutton and Cordts land into one bucolic 100-acre campus has created a truly unique offering for hotel guests, weddings, fairs, festivals and events of all sizes. Hutton Brickyards history and location on the Hudson River make it the ideal spot for marking major life events.”
Hutton Brickyards originally operated as a manufacturer of brick on the banks of the Hudson River for over 100 years. Now managed by Salt Hotels, the site includes 31 cabins and suites, two dining venues, several event spaces, and the recent addiiion Edgewood.
