UK: A Hyatt affiliate has entered into a management agreement with Blackfriars Hotel Limited to open the Hyatt Regency London Blackfriars in July 2022.
Currently undergoing refurbishment, the Grade II-listed building was formerly a palace. When complete, it will feature 204 guest rooms, an all-day New York-style bistro, a Chinese restaurant, a cocktail bar with outdoor space, meeting rooms, and a fitness centre.
The hotel will join nine other Hyatt-branded properties in London, and the thirteenth in the UK. Upcoming openings in the capital include a dual-branded site in Stratford.
“We are thrilled to announce plans for Hyatt Regency London Blackfriars, a hotel that demonstrates Hyatt’s confidence in London’s position as an attractive destination for both business and leisure travellers,” said Felicity Black Roberts, vice president of development of Europe at Hyatt. “[The hotel] will be an exciting offering to the millions of people who visit the iconic city every year.”
