US: The 65-room Berkeley Shore Hotel in South Beach is being marketed by agents Majestic Properties.

Designed by Albert Anis, the architect of some of Miami’s most notable Art Deco hotels, the 1940 property is opposite Loews Hotel on Collins Avenue. It was purchased by its current owner in 1991 and is now being marketed by Majestic’s Roberto Pecchi and Faye Reby for $13.8 million.

Miami’s hotel sector is one of the best performing in the US. With record RevPAR posted in 2011 -even higher than the peak seen in 2007- and a projected eight per cent increase in 2012, Miami-Dade county continues to be a gateway market for investors looking to capitalize on their investment, says Majestic.
