Morocco: Abu Dhabi-based developer, IMKAN, has completed its 38-room hotel that is set to open October 16, 2019.
The five-star hotel is located in the embassy district of Rabat.
Designed by Marc Hertrich and Nicholas Adnet of Studio MHNA, the property combines Moroccan architecture with Andalusian highlights, with a theme inspired by the life and art of Ziryab – an arabic musician.
“Delivering Villa Diyafa is another major milestone in a successful year for IMKAN after our recent acquisition in Egypt. Today marks the next step on our journey to international markets and I’m proud of the hard work carried out by our team in partnership with our sister company and hotel operator, H Mark hotel,” said Walid El-Hindi, CEO of IMKAN.
Villa Diyafa will be operated by IMKAN’s sister company, H Hospitality Collection, which was founded in 2015 by Abu Dhabi Capital Group as the business vertical for the group, providing overall management for its hotels, resorts and and F&B enterprises.
Claudio Capaccioli, CEO at H Hospitality Collection, added: “At H Hospitality Collection we are committed to providing global travelers with the very best visitor experience and we have developed a strong reputation in achieving this by creating luxury hospitality offerings that are imbued with local flavourings. We are proud to have joined forces with IMKAN in the development of Villa Diyafa Boutique Hotel & Spa; our combined expertise has brought a unique experience of unparalleled luxury to Morocco.”
The new hotel is one of two international projects due for delivery by IMKAN in 2019. The second is the first phase of Egypt’s Alburouj – a 500-hectare suburb offering villas, twin-houses, town houses, duplexes and apartments.
