Thailand: Tonino Lamborghini, Italian design and development firm started by the son of motoring legend Ferruccio Lamborghini, will open its first hotel on the Thai island of Phuket.

The property is a part of the company’s collaborations with Utopia Corporation, following hotels in China and Brazil.

Tonino Lamborghini Boutique Hotel Phuket plans to be a one of a kind resort, placed along the beachfront at Chalong Bay, overlooking the Andaman sea. The hotel aims to blend the company’s luxury and heritage with Asian innovation and expertise.

Ferruccio Lamborghini, CEO and VP of Tonino Lamborghini company said: “After the opening of our branded hotels in Suzhou, Kunshan and Huangshi, the launch of a real estate project in China, and our latest residence project in Brazil, today I am proud to announce the partnership Utopia Corporation for the development of the Tonino Lamborghini Boutique Hotel Phuket, which represents another great milestone for the Tonino Lamborghini Company in the hospitality industry. Our goal is to bring a branded Tonino Lamborghini experience to the best places worldwide, and soon we will bring the Tonino Lamborghini spirit to Phuket: one of the world’s finest tourist destinations.

Alexander Wong led the design of the property, focusing on ensuring a low-rise profile, and reflecting a hybrid Thai/Miami beach aesthetic, in line with Phuket’s reputation as the “Miami of Asia.” Amenities include a gym, pool facilities, a spa, and a high-quality restaurant, which supplement the 39 suites and seven villas.

Hachi Yin, Utopia Corporation CEO, said: “We are delighted to form this landmark agreement with Tonino Lamborghini. It is indeed an honour to introduce this famous Italian name to Thailand’s hotel industry for the first time; their brand is recognised around the globe as a beacon of luxury, exclusivity and flair.”
