London’s Holmes Hotel unveils event space

UK: Holmes Hotel London on Chiltern Street in Marylebone has launched The Residence, a brand-new events venue that marks the completion of a multi-million pound repositioning.

The Residence, a self-contained space, has launched alongside the hotel’s existing meetings and events facilities.

Five rooms are available, named The Pantry, The Billiard Room, The Laboratory, The Conservatory and The Cellar. When hired together these rooms can facilitate up to 130 guests, or up to 20 people individually.

The Pantry forms the centre of the venue, providing snacks and refreshments throughout the event. It’s suitable for use as a reception room or as a breakout space, offering workshops including cookery lessons and cocktail masterclasses.

Two additional spaces, The A and the Telegraph Room, are more private areas.

The Residence has been designed by Zopsigog, and each room comes equipped with full AV capabilities such as LCD screens, web cams, WiFi and floor to ceiling whiteboards.

The hotel’s existing meeting and events space provides space for an additional 80 guests. This includes the Secret Roof Terrace with outdoor heaters and tables.

Jennifer McCabe, general manager of Holmes Hotel London, said: “We are delighted to reveal The Residence, a project some years in the making that has exceeded all expectations. It is an incredible extension to our existing meetings and events offer that truly speaks for itself – long gone are plain boardrooms and open halls; we have introduced a space like no other.

“Through clever and creative use of design, integrating essential business tools into the fabric of the space – such as the write-on walls in the Laboratory – we have created an engaging and inspiring space for everyone who visits, and can’t wait to work with clients to ensure their meeting or event is a success.”

Holmes Hotel London is a boutique hotel featuring 118 guest rooms and loft suites, a gym, three meeting spaces, and an all-day casual dining restaurant, Kitchen at Holmes.
