Namibia: Seven-suite Olive Exclusive opens in Windhoek

Olive Exclusive is owned by Roger Fussell and Lindy van den Bosch of Big Sky Lodges, and was built on the site of an old farmhouse. The property overlooks a hillside olive grove in Promenaden Road, Klein Windhoek, within walking distance of the city centre.

Cape Town photographer Micky Hoyle’s images of Namibia feature prominently in communal areas and suites, which are themed according to various Namibian destinations, including Etosha, Kunene, the Namib Desert, Erongo, Otavi, Caprivi and the coast.

Hoyle also doubled as chief designer and focused on using natural Namibian products, including two three-ton slabs of white granite from Karibib. One serves as the hotel’s reception desk and the other as a coffee table.

Cape Town chef Jacques Erasmus developed the menu for the hotel’s restaurant, which seats 24 inside and 12 on an outside terrace.
