Greece: Numo Ierapetra located in Crete will open as Numo Hotels & Resorts’ first project this summer.

The 132-room hotel, comprising 17 guestroom buildings, includes a private swimming pool, a secluded beach, sunbeds and cabanas, and several F&B venues. The resort has been designed by London-based studio LOST.

Menoa is a farm-to-table restaurant led by Konstantina Voulgari, a San Pellegrino Young Chef of the Year finalist. Tamarisk, the main restaurant, offers the guests the opportunity to watch their food be cooked in front of them. Marè Marè, the bar, borders the beach and the restaurant and is located next to the pool. 

Constantina Tsoutsikou, founder of LOST said: “Creating a flagship property for this new understated hospitality brand was a thrilling experience. We crafted an escapist palette, fresh color schemes, and took a simple approach. Instead of going in with a pre-conceived rigid plan, we allowed nature and the landscape to speak to our souls first. We then worked closely with the client team around the existing buildings and made enhancements where needed, adding outdoor terraces or private pools where possible and capitalising on every opportunity to create memorable experiences. The result is a resort that feels intimate and invites you to slow down and enjoy.”

Numo aims to be 100 per cent plastic free by 2022. The majority of the produce will be locally sourced from small farms. Also, Numo will hold donations and educational programs in collaboration with ANIMA, a wildlife care and rehabilitation non-profit association based in Greece. 

In addition to managing the brand-new Numo Ierapetra, the company oversees the commercial representation of the Troulis Royal Collection brand, which includes the Royal Blue and the Royal Senses, Curio Collection by Hilton.
