Worldwide: The global hotel brand Preferred Hotels and Resorts announced its addition of 24 new properties to its portfolio.

These new offerings from the largest independent brand span the globe, providing unique offerings for visitors.

Acquisitions include Live Aqua Urban Resort San Miguel de Allende, a 153-room resort and luxury facility. It is located directly in the heart of San Miguel de Allende, a UNESCO world heritage sight known for its classic baroque architecture and impact in the history of Mexican independence.

The group is also opening its first offerings in Finland and Brunei.

The Klaus K hotel will be located in the Finnish capital of Helsinki, in the middle of the city’s historic centre. The design will feature works by local artists and artwork which imitates Finland’s natural landscape.

Set amidst 455 coastal acres on the South China Sea, The Empire Brunei aims to fuse the hospitality culture of the region with a feeling of absolute luxury. With a full operating cinema, an 18-hole golf course and seven international restaurants, guests will find many unique experiences during their stay.

Other new offerings include The Serras, a 28-room boutique in the heart of Barcelona’s gothic quarter, The Royal Park Hotel Osaka, with facilities designed for business and leisure travellers, and the Paramount Hotel Dubai, designed around the idea of old Hollywood glamour.

Preferred has been continuing its expansion throughout the new year. Some of its most recent acquisitions include Hayfield Manor in Ireland, and it plans 20 more openings throughout the new year.
