UK: Five-star hotel Rosewood London has partnered with Bridelux to offer one couple, working as key workers, NHS staff or carers during the COVID-19 crisis, a complimentary wedding worth over £100,000.
The wedding for the bride and groom and up to 150 guests will be held in the ballroom at Rosewood London, with the couple staying overnight in one of the hotel’s suites.
Nearly 30 suppliers have donated their time and expertise to help create the event.
Michael Bonsor, managing director of Rosewood London, said: “Rosewood London is delighted to be a partner of this amazing initiative to be able give back and help NHS staff, carers and key workers who have been working so hard to keep us all safe in these exceptional times. As a hotel, we have long supported the NHS and recently, our teams have been working to provide meals to NHS staff. We now look forward to giving one lucky couple a day to remember with their loved ones and friends.”
Bridelux CEO James Lord, who founded the initiative, added: “In these uncertain times, I am very proud of the UK wedding industry to pull together to create this phenomenal wedding for key workers. Everyone jumped at the idea. It’s the least we all could do to give something back.”
Nominees can submit an entry via the HELLO! magazine website or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org, with the winners announced mid-May.
The initiative forms part of Rosewood Raise, a relief fund developed in support of the group’s staff who have been impacted by the pandemic, as well as the communities in which the group operates.
Other initiatives include the Hospitality4Heroes Social Challenge, which aims to raise £10,000 to support the NHS Charities Together COVID-19 Appeal.
