The Westin Tempe to debut in August

Westin Tempe

US: The opening of The Westin Tempe, slated for late summer 2021, will mark the city’s largest new hotel opening in nearly four decades.

Centrally located in Tempe, Arizona, the full-service hotel will offer 290 bedrooms and suites, approximately 21,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space, and three dining concepts.

Terra Tempe Kitchen & Spirits is the hotel’s signature restaurant on the ground floor. Skysill Rooftop Lounge is a bar located on the eighteenth floor, and Cup of Joe Market Cafe is a quick-service bistro with grab-and-go options.

Patti Hunt and Ryan Kirby have been appointed as the hotel’s general manager and director of sales and marketing respectively, bringing more than 40 years of combined hospitality experience to the roles.

“We are thrilled to be part of the city of Tempe’s growth and expansion over the last several years,” said Hunt. “Our brand-new hotel will fill a niche in the market for travellers who are looking not only for an elevated experience, but a premium wellness hotel brand that will empower them to control and enhance their wellbeing while traveling. With The Westin Tempe’s gorgeous biophilic design, numerous dining destinations including the highest rooftop bar in the Valley, first-class meeting and event spaces and direct access to all that downtown Tempe has to offer, we look forward to being the optimal retreat for leisure guests and business professionals alike.”

The Westin Tempe is taking reservations from August 29 and beyond.

It will be operated by Crescent Hotels & Resorts, which currently has 100 properties across the US and Canada in its portfolio. The group typically operates upper-upscale and luxury hotels under Marriott, Hilton and Hyatt.
