“Ultra eco” hotel set for May opening in Piedmont

Italy: Krause Group will open a new sustainable boutique retreat in Piedmont in May 2021.

Casa di Langa will overlook more than 40-hectares of the Piedmont region’s vineyards and rolling hills, and will incorporate “sustainable practices threaded throughout the guest experience”.

The 39-room luxury hotel will be carbon neutral, and will feature 100 per cent recycled water for irrigation, geothermal heating throughout, zero single-use plastic, PV cells and solar panels.

Using a sustainable approach to architecture and design, Milan-based design teams GaS Studio (overseeing the architecture) and Parisotto + Formenton Architetti (heading up the interior design) have drawn inspiration from the hazelnut orchard, vegetable garden and the views of the vineyards to integrate these natural elements in the concept.

Each room features a spacious private terrace, relaxation area and a spa-like bathroom with rain showers and Le Labo toiletries.
