UK: Marriott’s first W hotel in Scotland is set to open this November in Edinburgh, seven years after the hotel was first revealed.
The 244-room hotel was first announced when Starwood managed the W Hotels brand before merging with Marriott. It is located within the St James Quarter in the east end of Edinburgh.
The hotel’s interiors have been designed by London-based practice Jestico + Whiles. Amenities include a rooftop restaurant operated by SUSHISAMBA, Joao’s Place cocktail bar, the W Lounge, a gym and a spa, and event spaces.
It marks the second W Hotels property in the UK, joining W London which opened in 2011.
