UK: Independent property The Welbeck Hotel has opened in Marylebone, London, repositioned from a former Holiday Inn.
Juniper Hotels Holdings, part-owned by Westmont Hospitality, secured £34 million in 2022 to transform the site located on Welbeck Street into an upscale boutique hotel.
The 164-room property now known as The Welbeck Hotel has been created with a wellness theme.
For instance, guests can book tailored intravenous (IV) therapy treatments from Effect Doctors to be administered within their rooms, as well as arrange massages, facials and grooming services via beauty concierge platform RUUBY.
The hotel has also partnered with John Bell & Croyden, pharmacy and holder of a Royal Warrant, providing guests access to its 24-hour in-house doctor and FibroScan technology, a non-invasive diagnostic tool for assessing liver health.
Additional amenities include a guest lounge, gym, six meeting rooms and event spaces for up to 60 people. It has also achieved a BREEAM Excellent rating.
Simon Hall, general manager of The Welbeck Hotel, said: “We are thrilled to open our doors in this historic and vibrant part of London. The hotel offers an elevated hospitality experience where guests can Stay Well, Travel Well, and Be Well, all while immersing themselves in the rich heritage of Marylebone.”
