US: Texas-based management company Benchmark Hospitality International has Hotel Zelos in San Francisco to its Personal Luxury brand.
Hotel Zelos, formerly operated by Kimpton, takes its new name from the Greek god of dedication and zeal, originally opened in 1999 as Hotel Palomar San Francisco. Owned by Pebblebrook Hotel Trust, it features 202 guestrooms and suites, 3,000 square feet of flexible meeting and event space, and the Dirty Habit bar/restaurant.
Alex Cabanas, Benchmark’s president and CEO said: “Hotel Zelos is an extraordinary addition to our Personal Luxury Resorts & Hotels portfolio. Centered in the heart of downtown San Francisco, the hotel is perfectly located for both the business and leisure traveler, and is within walking distance of the Moscone Convention Center.
