NZ: CPG Hotels, a privately-owned operator, has launched a new brand and collection of five-star properties called Fable Hotels & Resorts.
CPG has launched the Fable brand with two initial sites in Auckland and Dunedin. A further six properties are in the middle of being refurbished across the country, and will soon relaunch under the Fable brand.
The 10-room Hotel Fitzroy Curated by Fable will open in Auckland’s Ponsonby-Grey Lynn precinct at the end of August 2020.
The 50 room Fable Dunedin on New Zealand’s South Island is a four-storey, heritage-listed hotel originally built in 1862. The group’s website states the property is scheduled to open in October 2020.
The company plans for the new label to grow to eight locations in the next two years.
As part of the label, two sub-brands have been created to differentiate the properties: Curated by Fable and Stay by Fable.
Curated by Fable aims to create individual experiences such as offering a dedicated host service and tailored activities.
Stay by Fable is focused on interior design with urban and youthful public spaces and low-touch, tech-based experiences.
Lisa Breckon, CPG hotels director of sales and marketing, commented: “For our customers, one size most definitely does not fit all, so we also want to create space within Fable’s offering to cater to different people wanting differently balanced experiences as guests. Fable is not just a hotel brand, it’s a passion for excellence and a thirst to seek out the interesting.”
