The Arden Hotel had two charging points for electric vehicles installed earlier this year by Zero Carbon World, a company that donates charging stations to the hotel and leisure industry to support the development of a national charging infrastructure and encourage the adoption of electric vehicles.

Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons is part of a £320,000 project with Chargemaster to install 64 new charging points across Oxfordshire. It also has two bays for guests to charge their cars.

Philip Newman-Hall of Le Manoir said: “Raymond Blanc and the team at le Manoir are delighted that there is now an opportunity to send our guests on a voyage of discovery around Oxfordshire, Warwickshire and The Cotswolds and that our guests can recharge their batteries whilst recharging themselves. The electric car initiative, driven by our good friends at Eden Hotels, is a fantastically environmentally friendly way of seeing this great area at the very heart of Britain.”

Jason Adams, general manager at The Arden, said: “We are delighted to be partnering with one of the UK’s finest hotels, Le Manoir aux Quat Saisons, and working together to lower our carbon footprint.”

The properties are also offering guests extra perks when they book to stay at both hotels and travel between them in their electric cars. Guests will receive a signed copy of Raymond Blanc’s ‘Kitchen Secrets’ on arrival at Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons, and a bottle of champagne in their rooms when they check in to The Arden Hotel.

Guests will also be entitled to a dedicated car parking space and complimentary charge point for electric cars during their stay.
