UK: Peter and Jennie Reglar have created Reglar Collection, a new brand within Ickenham Travel Group, to curate tailor-made, long-stay packages in hotels and other alternative accommodation across the UK.
Reglar Collection will focus on “exquisite hotels, glamorous mews, homes with private jetties, towers and lodges, secret garden retreats, mansions, castles and even an island fortress.”
The brand will provide clients with a dedicated travel consultant to create personal itineraries, tapping into the demand for domestic holidays and staycations in the UK.
Peter Reglar commented: “At the quality end of the market the UK has tended to offer only short break experiences, with longer term holidays traditionally being taken in exclusive overseas locations. The coronavirus pandemic has created a new demand now for those longer-term holidays to be UK based and it is this market that we will be serving.”
Jennie Reglar added: “We are introducing a personal concierge approach to UK holidays taking the brief from the client on what is important to them and delivering precisely that. This may include staying in different locations and types of accommodation, experiencing specific activities and events, and enjoying a truly bespoke holiday.”
Hotels featured in the Reglar Collection include Grantley Hall in Yorkshire, Gleneagles in Perthshire, The Balmoral in Edinburgh, and Bovey Castle in Devon, along with other homes and cottages.
Ickenham Travel Group was founded nearly 50 years ago by Reglar, and was later transformed into Business Travel Direct for corporate travel and letsgo2 for leisure travel.
