Hawaii: The hotel management and development division of Halekulani Corporation will embark on a five year expansion plan for its Halekulani and Halepuna brand.
Hotel & Resorts of Halekulani was formed in the late 1990s to develop and oversee Halekulani Corporation’s hospitality assets: the Halekulani and Waikiki Parc Hotels, and the Kapalua Bay Hotel.
Since then, the division has overseen several renovations of Halekulani Hotel, a five-star luxury accommodation; the development of Halekulani Okinawa, a luxury beach resort; and the renewal and transformation of the Waikiki Parc Hotel into Halepuna Waikiki by Halekulani, a boutique urban retreat which officially opens today.
Pater Shaindlin, chief operating officer of Halekulani Corporation, said: “Over the years, we have been approached by a number of developers, financial institutions, property owners and real estate investment trusts with various opportunities. We decided, however, to focus our efforts and resources on reinvesting in our world renowned Halekulani brand and on the development of our new Halepuna brand.”
