Colombia: Karisma’s new Allure brand debuts with two boutique hotels in Cartagena.
The properties are the 14-room Arsenal Hotel and 34-room Arsenal Hotel Boutique, both of which are owned by Colombia’s Char Muvdi family. Both are located in the Zona Rosa sector of Cartagena de Indias, and will be managed by Karisma under the Allure brand.
Ruben Becerra, vice president of corporate affairs and business development for Karisma Hotels and Resorts, said: “We are eager to embark on this new venture. We see great potential in developing a new line of boutique hotels in Latin America, and we couldn’t think of better a way to launch this brand than with the sophisticated and successful Arsenal de Cartagena properties.”
The new properties are the first of what Karisma says will be a major expansion for the company in Latin America and the Caribbean, with five hotels coming on line in Latin America in the next five years, along with new beach properties in the Caribbean.
