India: A long-term strategic partnership has been announced between the Mandarin Oriental Group and The Oberoi Group across a range of initiatives.
The alliance will give members of the brand’s respective loyalty programmes access to over 50 luxury hotels, exclusive experiences and offers, as well as invitations to bespoke events.
Group chief executive at Mandarin Oriental, James Riley, commented: “We are delighted to launch this innovative partnership with The Oberoi Group, setting the stage for us to push the boundaries of luxury hospitality… I am confident that by working together both organisations will grow and create further differentiation in the industry that our guests will value.”
Vikram Oberoi, managing director and CEO of EIH, the flagship company of The Oberoi Company, added: “We have long been ‘fans’ of Mandarin Oriental. This alliance will allow guests to experience new destinations and experiences in the legendary styles for which both companies are renowned.”
Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group owns and operates 33 hotels and seven residences across 23 countries. It has a further pipeline of 19 hotels and 13 residences under development.
The Oberoi Group, found in 1934, owns and/or operates 33 luxury hotels and two river cruise ships in seven countries.
