Worldwide: Preferred Hotels & Resorts has announced the addition of 13 members to its global portfolio, marking 39 total additions since the start of 2020.
The recent additions are contended to indicate a growing interest for hotel owners and operators to become independent.
Notable new members include:
• Pendry West Hollywood – a 149-room hotel with 40 residences located on Sunset Strip in Los Angeles. The property includes a rooftop pool and bar, Spa Pendry, bowling alley, screening room, live music venue, and art exhibitions. Wolfgang Puck has created the menus in its signature restaurant.
• Sangha Retreat by Octave Institute – a state-of-the-art holistic health and wellness sanctuary on the shores of Yangcheng Lake in Suzhou, China. It comprises 68 lakefront suites and private villas, with an onsite clinic, healing spa, and meditation dome.
• Park Centraal Amsterdam – a newly rebranded property housed in a historic iron foundry. It features 189 guest rooms and the city’s first upscale Asian-fusion restaurant MOMO.
• Azul Talavera Hotel – located in Mexico, the 78 residential-style bedrooms and suites are set across two restored antique buildings. Four dining venues are available, and on-property experiences range from cooking classes with local chefs to ancient healing treatments at Cobalto Spa.
• Santa Catalina, a Royal Hideaway Hotel – the newly renovated 204-room hotel in Gran Canaria features the signature restaurant Poemas led by the Michelin-starred Padrón brothers. The hotel’s most exclusive bedroom, The Royal Suite, has a private terrace overlooking the Atlantic and comes with two bathrooms and exclusive access to the rooftop infinity pool and wellness studio, complete with Royal Concierge service.

Earlier in the year, Preferred Hotels & Resorts welcomed 26 members to its portfolio. The group now represents more than 750 hotels, resorts and residences across 85 countries.
