US: The Hotel Zetta has a playroom equipped with gaming consoles, a pool table and a lounging area.
The 116-room property which opens on February 18, was formerly the Hotel Milano, and was acquired by Pebblebrook Hotel Trust for $58 million last year and is the newest property in the Viceroy Group’s Urban Retreat Collection.
Sales and marketing director Greg Bell said: “We’re going with the whole work hard/play hard theme here.”
The interior is designed by Seattle-based Dawson Design Associates, and includes reclaimed wood walls, exposed ceilings, chandeliers from recycled eyeglasses and art made from scrap metal.
Amenities include 2,760-square feet of meeting and event space, a variety of studio rooms, two bars and a restaurant that has yet to be named. Guestrooms have backlit LED, web-enabled TVs from Samsung, Obsess Glink Connect docking stations and Illy espresso machines.
Pebblebrook – which also owns the Argonaut, Hotel Palomar and Sir Francis Drake in San Francisco – has spent more than $13 million on renovating Hotel Zetta.
