UK: The Dusntane Houses in Edinburgh won the boutique hotel category at the Scottish Hotel awards last night.
The Dunstane Houses is an independent, family-run boutique hotel set in two heritage buildings on Edinburgh’s Hampton Terrace.
It features 35 bedrooms, including 16 newly refurbished rooms and is described as offering guests “a breath of fresh Orkney air in the heart of Edinburgh”. The property’s director Shirley Mowat was also named Independent Hotelier of the Year at the awards.
The Torrance Hotel in East Kilbride was highly commended in the boutique hotel category, while Trump Turnberry, A Luxury Collection Resort won the Hotel of The Year Award.
