UK: More than 8,000 items from The Westbury Mayfair will be up for auction between 7-10 June 2021 in preparation for a renovation.

Hospitality auctioneers Pro Auction organised the three-day sale, which will take place at The Westbury beginning at 10:30am each day. Online bidding is available.

Items up for auction include sofas, lamps, chandeliers and drapery, writing desks, headboards and canopies as well as decorative accessories, along with furniture and fittings in the public areas, bars and restaurants, commercial kitchen, and the wine cellar stock.

Simon Rose of Pro Auction said: “This unprecedented renovation project for the hotel brings with it the opportunity to purchase a piece of the hotel’s history at auction as the owners pave the way for a new chapter for The Westbury.”

The Westbury opened in 1955 and is located in Mayfair. Since opening, the hotel has maintained a rolling refurbishment program.

Catalogues of the auctioned items can be downloaded here.
