UK: Marriott International has appointed Alok Dixit as general manager, as preparations continue for the opening of W Manchester and W Residences in 2027.
Dixit has more than 25 years of experience in hospitality leadership. He joins the project from London Marriott Hotel Grosvenor Square, where he helped strengthen the property’s position within Mayfair’s upmarket hospitality market.
Throughout his career, Dixit is known for developing high-performing teams, driving sustained business growth and delivering exceptional guest experiences. He has held leadership positions in several prominent hotels, including London Marriott Regents Park and The London EDITION.

Set to open in 2027, W Manchester and W Residences is located within the 43-storey tower of Relentless Developments’ St Michael’s scheme in the city centre. This development marks the brand’s third property in the UK, following W London and W Edinburgh, and will aim to deliver a new luxury experience for both visitors and local residents.
