Italy: Boutique hotel portfolio Chapter Italia has opened its second property, located in the Chianti region of Tuscany.
Set within a restored 17th-century original borgo spanning over 50 hectares of vineyards, olive groves and landscaped gardens, the property marks the second opening in the Chapter Italia portfolio, following Chapter Roma.
Chapter Chianti has been designed by interiors architect Tristan du Plessis. Original stone staircases and vaulted ceilings have been preserved, while local hand crafted furniture sits alongside custom lighting from DCW Editions and Marset.
F&B venues include Osso, the hotel’s restaurant led by chef Daniele Auricchio. By day, the Parasole Pool Bar serves Mediterranean-inspired light bites, and cocktails and live entertainment will be hosted in the Main Bar.
In 2027, the hotel will also add Hey Güey, the Mexican restaurant from Chapter Roma.
The brand’s spa concept F.A.R.M Social will debut at Chapter Chianti, featuring a Turkish steam bath, sauna, dry hammam, a fitness centre, alongside an outdoor padel court. The indoor pool circuit offers five pools including warm, two cold plunges, hydrotherapy, and salt, as well as three treatment rooms.
Accommodation will also expand in 2027 with the addition of The Mansion – a five-bedroom villa, available for individual or private hire, with an outdoor swimming pool, private butler and chef on demand, plus all of the facilities of the main hotel.
“Following the success of Chapter Roma, we wanted to take the Chapter philosophy beyond the city and show that contemporary design and authentic Italian hospitality can thrive anywhere,” said Marco Cilia, owner of Chapter Italia. “Tuscany has incredible countryside resorts, but many felt too quiet, too expected. We set out to create a place where you can unwind completely or let your hair down, sometimes both in the same day. Chapter Chianti is about giving guests the freedom to experience Tuscany their way, whether that’s a sunrise yoga session or dancing after sunset.”
