Lebanon: Hotel management company Rotana will expand in Beirut, signing an Edge hotel in partnership with ACHRAFIEH 5418 SAL.
The signing will see the existing 85-unit property expand to 95 units, alongside new meeting spaces and a full renovation. The property is expected to open in January 2027.
“Rotana was built in this region, and our belief in its long-term potential has never changed,” Rotana’s chief operating officer Eddy Tannous said. “Hospitality will always move through different cycles, but our approach is to look beyond the immediate environment and keep building for the future.”
The new Edge signing expands upon Rotana’s growth across its regional Middle East market. Rotana’s other additions this year include the Bloom Arjaan by Rotana and Rotana Ras Al Khaimah – The Mangroves in the UAE, as well as Edge Riyadh – Al Rabie and The Residences by Rotana in Saudi Arabia.
In addition to its portfolio growth, Rotana continues to improve its digital programme such as integrating the company’s voice AI pilot — Rotana Chat AI — into its website to support hotel operations.
“Hospitality development in the region is becoming much more diverse, and there is no longer one model for growth,” said Makram El Zyr, corporate vice president for development at Rotana. “For Rotana, that means being able to respond to opportunities whether existing assets, new projects, branded residences or new concepts.”
Rotana operates six brands: Rotana Hotels & Resorts, Centro Hotels, Rayhaan Hotels & Resorts, Arjaan Hotel Apartments, Edge by Rotana, and The Residences by Rotana. Edge by Rotana is the group’s collection of independent hotels.
