UK: IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed Hotel Indigo London – Kingston into its UK&I collection, set to open in 2027.

Owned by a new partner for IHG, Westcombe Group, through its Acre Hotels Collection, the 90-key hotel will become the seventh Hotel Indigo in Greater London, bringing the brand to the Hampton Wick riverside in Southwest London.

The project is part of the wider adaptive reuse of Kingston Bridge House, which involves transforming a vacant former university accommodation into a mixed-use destination with 22 other residences alongside Hotel Indigo.

The hotel will offer views of the River Thames and easy access to nearby attractions such as Hampton Court Palace, Kew Gardens and Richmond Park. It also offers easy connection to major transportation junctions — London Waterloo is about 20 minutes away by train and Heathrow Airport is approximately 30 minutes by car.

“We are delighted to welcome Westcombe Group to IHG and bring Hotel Indigo to the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames in the UK,” said Willemijn Geels, IHG’s vice president of development in Europe. “Hampton Wick’s rich history, riverside setting and strong local identity make it a natural fit for a brand that celebrates neighbourhood stories and authentic local experiences.”

He added, “This signing reflects strong owner demand for Hotel Indigo in the UK&I and comes as we recently celebrated 200 open Hotel Indigo properties around the world. Together with Westcombe Group, we look forward to creating a distinctive hotel for guests and the local community, supported by IHG’s global scale and powerful enterprise.”

Esch of Hotel Indigo’s properties are inspired by the culture, character and stories of its local community, bringing its neighbourhood story to life through locally inspired design, the work of local artists, and food and drink that reflect the traditions of local communities. Other recent UK openings include Hotel Indigo Gloucester – The Forum and Hotel Indigo London K West Shepherd’s Bush in Q1 2026.
